Poem to the guy whom I gave all my passion07.06.08

I wrote this under the influence of my love to my Dailan. I cherish the love we had and we still have. This has no title yet.. suggestions anyone?

————————–

Did it ever occur to us

Why grand are wandered distances

The voyage of an albatross

Across infinite fields and oceans

Are we good enough to see

Great depths of Earth down under

Brilliance and fire diamonds bury

Clandestine splendor from black cinder

In this mist should darkness spill

Or Hermes’ message unveiled of tinge

Oblivious eyes, Paris broke the seal

Rushing jewels is a good fool’s binge

Lead a cruise athwart the Aurora

Keys for quest have gone astray

Stars be pleaded above the open tundra

Trace enchantments amid the Milky Way

Alleyway of dreams await in heaven

Ticket for two beyond the clouds

Hold my hand, grab tightly in whelm

Dance with me in heartbeats aloud

Nakedly inchoate in evanescent flee

A melodic return for a promise’s cry

Even if stars divest shining clarity

This truth reigns until I die

I bring your heart

It beats inside my heart

Tagum City… I long for your embrace!07.01.08

It has been a while since I am away and, oh well, I must say that I really miss my hometown. Right now, nothing will beat the reward of being able to go home for a week or two. Here are some of the things I really miss…

- My family. I miss driving my mama to work and seeing her again after work with a pasalubong for me (actually, it is a pasalubong for Lorenz, not for me). I miss Lorenz, the stubborn yet adorable little critter at home. I miss people taking care of me treating me like prince. I miss the massage of my favourite yaya. I miss Lovelove, my black Japanese Pittz, who would always greet me first after I get home and get out from the car. I miss my ate and my Nephew Juren’s cry of fear whenever he sees me. I miss the rest of the people at home who would always tolerate my superb performance on the videoke every afternoon.

-My Friends. I miss Lani and our daily hangout @ Miko’s brew with our laptops Acey and Bumblebee. She would always chat with her boyfriend and play pool while I do the regular stuffs I do. We love the blackforest cake and I miss the nonfat milkshake I always order. I miss Alex visiting me at home whenever I cannot give him a visit to his. We always share brilliant ideas and talk about how great and intelligent we are. LOL! I miss Caesar, Joyce, Peewee, Tessa, Gretchen, and the rest of my gang who would always give me an open door to their homes whenever I feel bored and in dire need of a conversation. I miss the Judaz circle of friends whom I would transiently meet up with for gimmicks at night when they are home in Tagum too!

- I miss the heat. Uhmm… No, I do not miss the heat.

-I miss my car and going around the city. I miss going to Jollibee, Chowking, Via Ame, Mcdonalds and other places, not to mention Freedom’s park and the City pavilion where I would sometimes walk around and check if there are bands or events the Mayor has in store for everybody.

- I miss the big church and going to mass with my best friends or with my mom. I miss the night ukay-ukay and the night barbecue galore where an entire busy street is converted into a long open restaurant. I miss the smoke too… (from all that barbecue being cooked)

- I miss the mall although it is really not worth missing it. I heard they are building two new big malls now so I am excited to see that soon. I miss the beaches. I miss the schools and the hospitals.

- I miss the small things that I used to not appreciate when I was there - the air, the noise, the arrangement of stuffs, even the stench of some nasty places. Sigh… I wish I could go back soon! There is truly nothing that can beat home sweeet/bitter home.

SEPTEMBER Rematch of De la Hoya and Mayweather!05.28.08

Who ever said fighting was bad! Well, they are actually right, you know, but boxing? Hell no! Now, after Mayweather’s victory over De La Hoya at the MGM Grand Arena at las Vegas last May 5, 2008, which was one of the most lucrative boxing matches ever (of over 120 freaking USD of revenue!), there seems to be another fight of the same expense that is a must-see this September.

Oscar De La Hoya have backed off on plans for a May fight and the Golden Boy is now looking at a big money rematch with Floyd Mayweather in September. Their first bout that broke all PPV records last May in Las Vegas. Golden Boy Promotions’ CEO Richard Schaefer told ESPN that the bout is “almost finalized” for September 13 or September 20. 2008. However, unlike the first fight, the fight will be contracted for 147 lbs. or the welterweight limit. The first fight was contracted at light middleweight or 154 lbs and de la Hoya’s WBC junior middleweight title was on the line. This time however, Mayweather will come in as champion and defend his WBC/The Ring welterweight titles. De la Hoya’s last fight against Stephen Forbes (33-6) was on May 3 with Floyd’s father: Floyd Mayweather, Sr. as his trainer. De La Hoya (39-5, 30 KOs) dominated and won a unanimous decision over Forbes, winning decisively - 119-109, 119-109 and 120-108.

Oooooh.. This is something I’m really itching for. I will do all my best to get those De La Hoya vs Mayweather tickets and cheer for my favorite who is <secret>. haha! I will be writing about him soon which my readers should watch out for. Good luck to both of them and may the best boxer win!

I am sure the world is excited for this match! Go and get yourself a ticket (just click on the bluelink in this article) w00t!

Zang Caesar to Mckhoii: You’re Fooking Wowowowow!05.04.08

Lani, my bestfriend, and I were texting each other yesterday and she requested me to call her because she misses me so much (and i miss her too). And so I did. She told me that I should check Zang’s website because he has written something about me. I remembered that Zang told me that he had written something for me and that I should check it but I had not had the time to do so because I was too damn busy with my work, masters, and the move to our new apartment of which I will be blogging about soon. Right now, I am at my workplace waiting for the driver to pick me up because I have a class at La Trinidad, Benguet waiting for me. I am stealing some time to surf and check Zang’s blog. OMG! It is indeed really about me. I blushed while reading it and I am so happy that I have made other people happy too with whatever it is that is happening to me miles and miles away. Thanks for the support guys! I’m reposting Zang’s post so that my readers would know how sweet he is and how lucky I am to have friends like Zang and the rest. Here’s the post…

lecturer in St. Louis Review Center teaching Communicable Diseases

Dammit! What have Mckhoii done to deserve what he had landed on now?

My eyes were still groggy upon waking up one forgettable morning, so forgettable I didn’t know what day that was or what the weather was like. All I could remember then was I woke up because of the consequent singing of my phone (my message alert tone sings!) upon receiving morning greeting text messages. One message was from Mckhoii:

Yot unsa gani difference sa ginasecrete na hormones sa adrenal cortex ug adrenal medulla? Dali kay magdemo kog lecture karong hapon. (What’s the difference between the hormones secreted by the adrenal cortex and adrenal medulla? Be quick, I will be having my demo lecture this afternoon.)

Oh I cannot exactly remember his words…

CONGRATULATIONS, Graduates batch 2008!04.29.08

While browsing over my folders I bumped into the file that contained my speech. OMG…Nostalgia!!! I might as well share this to you guys… and oh! Congratulations to the new graduates of 2008 and break a leg in whatever endeavor you are about to partake! w00t!

Mckhoii’s Valedictory Speech

In the real world, dreams do not come equipped with the magic wands of Cinderella stories

To our most reverend bishop of Tagum City –Wilfredo D. Manlapas, D.D.,S.T.D., members of the SMC board of trustees, school president – S. Ma. Fe D. Gerodias, RVM, Dean of college – S. Ma. Preciosa M. Rusiana, RVM, Associate Deans of the different programs, members of the faculty and non-teaching personnel, honorable guests, beloved parents, co-graduates, and friends, an exhilarating and magnificent day to you!

Four years ago, we gathered here in St. Mary’s College for education. Today marks a milestone in that pursuit, a culmination of four years of learning, growth, and shared memories. At such, times, it is appropriate to reflect on years past, to examine what we have done and what we have learned. Today, I am charged with that difficult task, and I would like to thank the school for this precious privilege and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stand before my peers and reflect in our time together.

w00t!

Thinking of graduation day always gives me the creeps! Paradoxical emotions always stir my mind, soul, and spirit – happiness and sadness, excitement and anxiety. We are happy because we can now put an end to all those infuriating and frustrating quizzes, and other school-related stressors. We finally reap what we’ve sown for four years and seize the awards we know we deserve. That’s got to be lots of sowing! On the other hand, we are disheartened because we know that we will be leaving some people behind and be separated from very special people whose hearts are close to ours. We will miss those fun activities, peer-gimmicks, neologisms and weird talks that we may never ever do again as we move on with our lives.

If my memory serves me right, it was during my kindergarten graduation day when on this very stage I declared this very famous clichéd line to the whole world, “When I grow up, I want to be a doctor”. It was the beginning of my bumpy, sometimes smooth, trip to education and life. The word “commencement”, being a synonym of “beginning” or “start”, marks the opening of a new chapter of our lives. From kindergarten, we commenced grade school to high school, and to college.

I am not a doctor of medicine, although I know I look like one (haha), but now I stand here before you all as a nurse graduate and as soon as I win my license, I know that my dream of being an angel for the sick and an adept member of the health team is fulfilled. As we confidently hold our shining shimmering and elegantly framed diplomas, let us think of what awaits us as we cross the portals to the other side of reality – the competitive, iniquity-packed and fierce outside world.

No man is indeed an island. There are so many people whom we owe what we have and what we are now. As long as I am still able to inhale and exhale, I will forever acclaim the part of which these people have played in my life wherever I am and whatever I will become in the future.

To my Classmates and RLE group mates from preclinical exposure to head nursing concepts who were together with me in my struggles, ordeals, and obstacles in both the community and in the hospital during my search for knowledge and skills, and during the course of helping clients and their families.

To my best friends: Alexis – my idol, brother and source of energy, Lani – my sentry, adviser, and advocate, Caesar – my clown, dictionary, and partner in crime, and the rest of my closest friends who have been with me through thick and thin, and will continue to be with me until the end of time no matter what.

The Dancing Doidoi04.26.08

I remember I was busy preparing for my lectures and test exams when Doidoi and the housemates were busy making props. Doidoi told me that they were going to have a dance number in the Blue Globe Awards Night. He was the one who made and taught the dance steps to the members of cluster. Anyway, congratulations to the awardees! When I came home from Nueva Vizcaya, he showed me the video of the dance. I was amazed how good he was and i was really so damn proud. Well, here’s the dance vid… enjoy!

For more of what happened… check out Doidoi’s blog

WWW.MCKHOII.COM - Hailed Instant Celebrity @ ENTRECARD!04.10.08

I bumped into this post by malinesky and guess what I found out? - I was turned to an instant celebrity at ENTRECARD when the administrators changed the rules of calculating the price. i became the most expensive blog with a price with of 262,144ec/day. a proof that My advertisers are overflowing!

Entrecard is a blog advertising network, which I think is a must-have for all blogs! Just this week, Entrecard went down for some updates and when it came back, everybody noticed and was surprised of the price changes. Before, prices of adverts are based on popularity or average number of drops per day, but now prices are based on the number of ads waiting for the entrecard spot. How adverts are priced? The system will go like this:
