Zang Caesar to Mckhoii: You’re Fooking Wowowowow!

Posted in Life as a Lecturer, Very Queerly Yours on May 04, 2008

Lani, my bestfriend, and I were texting each other yesterday and she requested me to call her because she misses me so much (and i miss her too). And so I did. She told me that I should check Zang’s website because he has written something about me. I remembered that Zang told me that he had written something for me and that I should check it but I had not had the time to do so because I was too damn busy with my work, masters, and the move to our new apartment of which I will be blogging about soon. Right now, I am at my workplace waiting for the driver to pick me up because I have a class at La Trinidad, Benguet waiting for me. I am stealing some time to surf and check Zang’s blog. OMG! It is indeed really about me. I blushed while reading it and I am so happy that I have made other people happy too with whatever it is that is happening to me miles and miles away. Thanks for the support guys! I’m reposting Zang’s post so that my readers would know how sweet he is and how lucky I am to have friends like Zang and the rest. Here’s the post…

lecturer in St. Louis Review Center teaching Communicable Diseases

Dammit! What have Mckhoii done to deserve what he had landed on now?

My eyes were still groggy upon waking up one forgettable morning, so forgettable I didn’t know what day that was or what the weather was like. All I could remember then was I woke up because of the consequent singing of my phone (my message alert tone sings!) upon receiving morning greeting text messages. One message was from Mckhoii:

Yot unsa gani difference sa ginasecrete na hormones sa adrenal cortex ug adrenal medulla? Dali kay magdemo kog lecture karong hapon. (What’s the difference between the hormones secreted by the adrenal cortex and adrenal medulla? Be quick, I will be having my demo lecture this afternoon.)

Oh I cannot exactly remember his words…

I thought then that that demo was for his application as a clinical instructor in one of the nursing schools there in Baguio City. Becoming more oblivious of the previous lessons in Medical-Surgical Nursing in school and in the review center, I hesitated to give him the answer lest I might be wrong, and instead replied with “Don’t ask me; my brain’s already rusted. LOL” in Cebuano.

Days after, I woke up one afternoon when my phone spoke “Marc Ernest Biala” (yes it speaks caller’s name!) with a corresponding pop tune ring tone. Groggily I flapped open my phone and answered.

So gay doing the lecture

Oh so gay! LOL

My golly! That call was broadcast on air to Marc’s students as he was giving his lecture, in Nueva Vizcaya, no less. He said his students wanted to hear him speak Cebuano/Bisaya so he opted to call me to have a conversation in that language. Mind you, I really was kind of ashamed especially when his students’ laughter echoed back. It was like, “Oh, they’re laughing at me” although I know they weren’t. They were just amused of our gayness. LOL.

After the call, I still didn’t get what really was Marc was (and is) up to. He didn’t tell. Until one day I dropped by his Friendster and saw to my surprise — Company: St. Louis Review Center. It was lucky we’re both online in Yahoo! Messenger so that I had shared with him what I noticed and he admitted he is now a LECTURER in St. Louis Review Center in Baguio. I was totally surprised and happy. That’s WOW, WOW, WOW!

Write it down!

Write it down!

Ever since we headed on with our review classes in preparation for the December 2007 Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination, we were really amazed of how good our first two lecturers then that we admired them and wanted to become like them, a lecturer too that Marc and I said to ourselves we should top the board for us to have a thick chance in being a lecturer.

But here it is, Marc is already a lecturer. I can’t be any happier with this. Although Marc says he is ashamed of telling everybody about this, I find it worth sharing. So I shared this fact to my other friends and former classmates.

Yot, (that’s what we call ourselves, yot is a contraction of Bisaya word bayot meaning gay), I will be next. Haha. Help me land a job as a lecturer in the future, okay? Or else, I will kill you.. Haha… You’re fooking wowowowow! And speaking of Wowowowow (not Wowowie!), I am starting to love Kylie Minogue’s new comeback single, Wow. It’s time to party, Mckhoii! You should treat us out.
